Old Missouri State Prison

Located in Jefferson City, Mo
Nicknamed “The Walls.”It’s also been called the “Bloodiest 47 acres.”  A lot of creepy things have happened here prior to its close in 2003. Uneasy feeling day or night. Many officers which used to work here have haunting stories and the feeling that something isn’t right here or something is always watching them. Many inmates died, committed suicide or were just flat out killed here. Its currently being torn down and a federal court house will replace it. The new parking lot is supposedly paved over the inmate burial ground. This place has some eerie history behind it too. The first woman ever put to death in prison happened here. Also, James Earl Ray, the man who assassinated Dr. Martin Luther King, escaped from this prison.
