Under the third bridge late at night, you can see a woman in a wedding dress. She was killed on her wedding day when the carriage she was in with her husband overturned. She died instantly. She is also known as “The Bride Under the Bridge.” Another story has her walking through a park in her wedding gown to her outdoor wedding was frightened by robbers and fell of a bridge to her death.
The park was once a Tribal Village for the Osage and Kickapoo Indians. It covers about 44 acres. The park is home to the “Bride under the Bridge.” It’s believed that she and her groom were killed when their car lost control in the park. The ghostly bride has been seen holding up the hem of her gown, but where her face should be there is only darkness.
