Fort Bellefountaine

Located in St. Louis, Mo
Located at the north end of Bellefountaine Road where it meets Fountainhead Lane. Established in 1805 as the first U.S. Military post in the newly acquired Louisiana Territory. Originally named Cantonment Belle Fontaine, it was used as an American Indian trading post for Fox, Sac and other American Indian tribes. Paranormal activity is reported at several areas of the park, but photos taken at the massive stone steps are reported to contain paranormal activity.
The fort hauntings have raised many questions over the years. People have claimed to see, hear, and feel things constantly. The most eerie of all of the hauntings, though, is at the staircase. The staircase is an old WPA project consisting of about five tiers. Most pictures taken of the stair case reveal a dark red smoke near the first or second tier when shooting from the ground up. This experiment has been done many times by many different cameras and always this red light shows up in many different places near the first and second tier.
