Arcadia Academy

Built in 1840 as a methodist high school and served as a hospital for Union forces during the Civil War purchased in 1877 by catholic nuns, it became a girls school until it closed in 1971. It is now a bed and breakfast and antique store. Orbs and mists have been photographed and doors opening and shutting by themselves have also been seen. It is rumored to be haunted by the nuns who ran the school. A large
cemetery is also on the grounds.
