Tombstone, AZ
The ghosts of many of Tombstone’s famous “characters” haunt the most famous street in town, including the spirit of Virgil Earp. Marshall Fred White’s spirit is thought to be seen near where he was killed, in the lot where the Birdcage now stands.

According to numerous eyewitness accounts, on nights of the full moon, a black, 1930s vintage Pierce-Arrow roadster has appeared and run scores of cars, trucks, and motorcycles off the road. The ghostly automobile has been linked to at least five deaths.Dr. Avery Teicher of Phoenix spent ten years documenting reports of the phantom Pierce-Arrow and the howling hellhounds that materialize to terrorize anyone foolhardy enough to pull off Route 666 and admire the desert landscape. According to Dr. Teicher, two members of a biker gang had both of their arms chewed off by the fiendish ghost dogs and a third biker had 90 percent of his face eaten away.The least threatening of all reports from the Devil’s Highway are those of a phantom female hitchhiker who vanishes whenever someone stops to give her a ride.
Branson, Mo
Near Branson is a place called Inspiration Point, which is where the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Drama is held. During the Civil War, this mountain look-out was used as a sentry post by the confederate Army. Apparently one soldier has never left. His ghost was first seen in 1964, during a play about the Baldknobbers, a pro-vigilante group from the Civil War. According to witnesses, the ghostly rider appeared to be fleeing one of the actors in a scene. Some people have seen him wandering around the hill looking for Union forces.
Bridgeton, Mo
This Victorian cottage was built in 1870 as a summer retreat for Dr. Eldridge Payne. Twenty-three ghosts are said to reside her, including a ghost dog which hangs around the big tree in back. The reason for so many hauntings is that some of them are former patients of Dr. Payne.
Blue Springs, Mo
A woman and her two children were murdered by her boyfriend and then took his own life. Since the murders people that have rented that duplex will not stay there very long because according to stories they would see blood running down the walls and they would also see the dead women standing in the bathroom. It is thought that Lindsey Money, the mother, haunts the apartment.
