Highway 64

Arkansas

Drive the lonely stretch of Arkansas Highway 64, especially on a rainy night, and you will be likely to sight the tormented spirit of Laura Starr Latta, who died a month before her twentieth birthday in 1899. Motorists have claimed to have seen Laura’s small, frail frame inside a white nightgown standing on the side of the road across from the cemetery where her body lies. Some old stories say that Laura was accosted by a gang and beaten to death on the way to her wedding. All that is known for certain is that she died a month before her twentieth birthday in 1899.

The girl’s name is thought to be Jessica.

Wheaton Cemetery

Wheaton, Mo

Also known as Concord Cemetery. Back in 1860’s there was Preacher whom lived with his wife and a slave family consisting of a pregnant women, man, and a young boy. The preacher is said to have worship a witch and once he married his wife she convinced him to become a Christian and build a church. The preacher was also the care taker of the Cemetery located next to the church. However, the preacher still continued to worship the witch. One night the Preacher’s slave family tried to escape. So that evening the preacher chased his slaves into woods and killed the woman with a sledge hammer and hung the man. Once he found the boy he choked him to death. The next day the Preacher’s wife found out that he was still worshiping the witch and she left him. So the preacher went to the body of the pregnant slave women and cut out the unborn baby. He then placed the fetus on the witches grave to awake her. Once she was awake he sold his sole to the devil in return for his wifes return. However, the witch was unhappy that she had been awaken and killed the preacher in revenge. (This is nothing more than an urban legend.)There are four spirits often seen in and around the cemetery ,one of a young boy calling for his mother, a man riding a horse painted in blood, a woman, and the preacher throwing rocks with a hayfork. It is also said that if you go around and touch every stone and kiss the witches grave, you can see the church and even enter it. Inside you will two jars full of eyes, 1 jar with a head in it and a bloody sledge hammer. If you go up to the top floor and if you can make it past th preacher and the grave keeper you can see dead bodies of people hanging by hooks from the ceiling ripped bibles. If you look out the top of the church steeple you can see a giant burning cross form a KKK ritual that dates back to 1867. If you irritate the witch enough you will awaken a fully physical poltergeist and nanny nun will tell you to leave. People have been found dead there and there is no known record of any one spending the night in the church and surviving and it.

Not to be confused with Concord Cemetery in Exeter, Mo.

The Music Building

Cape Girardeau, Mo

Located on the campus of South East Missouri State University. Lights and shadows have been seen, and doors have been heard slamming as well. Witnesses have seen figures walking down the hall that dissolved when they got close; and heard doors slamming hard as though they had been slung against the door frame. Investigation proved all doors locked and because of how the building is built and situated, it is easy to tell if someone else in the building.
